The Aboriginal Centre for Males (ACM) is a service that focuses on family violence &homelessness which aims to culturally strengthen the family, bring awareness and responsibility to the males for their actions and their role as a father\husband\Partner and to keep the family together. The ACM provides programs and services that focus on males who are affected by family violence. Using existing community supports, men will be referred andsupported through culturally safe programs.

The broad objectives of the Aboriginal Centre for Males are to:

Support the health and well-being of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander males &their families using a holistic approach

Improve access to family violence services for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander males in the Northern & Western metro areas

Provide a visible entry point to the support service system

Offer programs that have a prevention and early intervention focus

Facilitate links between support services for our clients

Clients can be referred to culturally safe services that specialise in the following areas from:

Drug & Alcohol

Mental Health

Health

Financial

Legal

Cultural

Programs:

Intensive Case Management (Family Violence & Homelessness)

Time Out service (Crisis accommodation & support)

Place for Change Program

Referral Pathways:

The Aboriginal Centre for Males actively seeks strong working partnerships with all referral services for the best interests of the clients and their families receiving our support.

Hours of Operation

The Aboriginal Centre for Males operating hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, Fridays 9am-4pm.
